Gajah Putih Bali: A Theatrical Fine Dining Experience in the Heart of Ubud

Hidden in the lush serenity of Ubud, Gajah Putih Bali offers more than just a dinner — it invites you into a multi-sensory journey where gastronomy meets performance art. This one-of-a-kind venue blends fine dining and theatrical storytelling, capturing the essence of Bali’s rich cultural spirit in every bite and every scene.

A Fusion of Art and Cuisine

Each dish reflects elements of Balinese life, rituals, and nature — from vibrant spices and edible flowers to local herbs and seafood — telling a story not just through taste but through cultural symbolism.

Live Theater Amidst Dining

What truly sets Gajah Putih apart is its immersive theatrical experience, performed during dinner. Guests don’t just watch a show — they become part of an unfolding narrative that mirrors the rhythms of Bali.
There are two signature performances:
  • Lingkaran – a tale of sunrise, beginnings, and the cycle of life.
  • Malam – a reflection of Bali’s mystical nights and transitions into dreamlike realms.
These performances use music, movement, costumes, and lighting to evoke deep emotions and connection to the land, seamlessly integrated between courses — making the evening feel like a ceremony.

Rooted in Balinese Symbolism

The name “Gajah Putih” (White Elephant) is not accidental. In Balinese and Hindu tradition, the white elephant is a rare and sacred creature, symbolizing purity, wisdom, and good fortune. This theme flows throughout the experience — from the decor and the hospitality, to the educational layers of the performance.
The experience also aims to raise awareness about cultural and environmental preservation, connecting guests with themes of nature, balance, and respect.

An Evening to Remember

Open Wednesday to Sunday, from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, Gajah Putih Bali is designed as a limited and exclusive event, with strict punctuality due to the synchronized timing between food service and performance.
Located at Jalan Raya Mawang no. 88x, Lodtunduh, Ubud, the venue provides elegant dining space, theater stage, ample parking, and free Wi-Fi for guests.
For those seeking a deeply immersive, cultural, and luxurious evening in Bali, Gajah Putih is unlike anything else on the island.
